Charlene: What was your path to developing your scanning tool at Cyberangels?
Andrea: I was CEO of DIGIX TEAM and in 2019 we suffered a cyber attack. This motivated me to develop something to make other entrepreneurs more aware of cybersecurity. But because I'm not the technical guy, I tried to come up with a non-technical solution so anyone could use it, easy to design, easy to use. I started by focusing on building a solid cybersecurity strategy, because with it you can survive anything that follows. So that was the first step, to develop this strategic framework.

Paolo: When we started examining this problem, we saw that the 80% of attacks came from the 20% of the same problems. Most cyber attacks are due to known vulnerabilities, and can often be mitigated by simple things like password protection and phishing awareness. So we said: let's make sure people know how to protect the 20% of the problems that generally cause the 80% of cyber attacks. So, as Andrea said, the first step was to create a report that identifies these vulnerabilities. The report identifies already exposed vulnerabilities that a hacker can exploit.
